The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, successfully conducted the NEET PG 2024 examination today. The high-stakes exam was held in 170 cities across India, with a total of 416 centers selected to host the candidates. The exam was conducted in two shifts to accommodate the large number of candidates and to ensure that only the best and most reputable centers were used.

A total of 2,28,540 candidates received admit cards issued by NBEMS, allowing them to sit for this crucial examination. In an effort to ease logistics for candidates, the examination centers were allocated within the candidates’ respective states wherever possible.

To oversee the smooth conduct of NEET PG 2024, NBEMS established a central command center at its Dwarka office in Delhi. Officials from the Union Health Ministry, the Governing Body of NBEMS, and the Executive Director of NBEMS were present, ensuring real-time monitoring of the examination process. Additionally, eight regional command centers were set up to provide localized supervision across the country.

More than 1,950 independent appraisers and 300 members of flying squads were deployed to maintain the integrity of the examination at each center. The strict security measures were complemented by active monitoring of social media to prevent the spread of misinformation, ensuring that only verified information reached the stakeholders.

The coordinated efforts of NBEMS and various government agencies were instrumental in the safe and smooth execution of NEET PG 2024, maintaining the exam’s integrity and fairness.
