Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, delivered an inspiring keynote address at the ‘Impact With Youth Conclave 2024,’ held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on International Youth Day. The event, organized in collaboration with United Nations India, UNICEF, UNICEF YuWaah, and the Elixir Foundation, drew hundreds of young participants eager to contribute to the nation’s progress.

In his address, Dr. Mandaviya highlighted the pivotal role of youth in achieving the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by 2047. He remarked, “The youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the change-makers of today. Your energy, innovation, and dedication are key to realizing Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.”

Dr. Mandaviya emphasized that India, as a youthful nation, is heavily investing in its young population. He acknowledged the government’s commitment, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to empower the youth by providing them with ample opportunities and resources to succeed.

The Minister introduced the MY Bharat platform, a digital initiative aimed at aligning the country’s future with modern technological advancements. He urged the youth to register on the platform, which will serve as a comprehensive solution for their various needs, including information, career applications, and form submissions, accessible at both national and international levels.

During a special interactive session titled ‘Yuvaa Samvaad,’ Dr. Mandaviya engaged directly with the youth, listening to their inspiring stories of overcoming challenges and driving positive change within their communities. He lauded their determination and encouraged them to continue making meaningful contributions to society.

Dr. Mandaviya also highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, urging young people to actively participate in the Prime Minister’s #Plant4Mother initiative, which aims to promote sustainable practices.

Ms. Cynthia McCaffrey, UNICEF Representative in India and Co-Chair of the UNICEF YuWaah board, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of youth engagement in global action, particularly in the context of digitalization and sustainable development.
