Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today reaffirmed the government’s dedication to empowering farmers across the nation while unveiling 109 new crop varieties at a special event in Delhi. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the farming community and ensuring that they have access to the latest agricultural innovations. He expressed confidence that these new crop varieties would significantly boost farmers’ incomes while being environmentally sustainable.

The Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction with the growing trend among farmers towards adopting natural farming practices. He took the opportunity to listen to their experiences and engage in a detailed discussion about the numerous benefits of natural farming. PM Modi acknowledged the positive impact of this shift, highlighting that natural farming not only improves crop yields but also contributes to environmental conservation.

In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi wrote in Hindi, “हम अपने किसान भाई-बहनों को सशक्त बनाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं।

The release of these new crop varieties is part of the government’s broader strategy to promote sustainable agriculture and enhance the livelihoods of farmers across India. The Prime Minister’s interaction with farmers at the event reflects his ongoing commitment to understanding and addressing the challenges faced by the agricultural sector.
